This coverage pays in addition to your medical plan and benefits are payable regardless of other insurance plans.
The benefit amount is determined by the type of illness and is paid in a lump sum amount. No health questions are required, but a pre-existing condition clause may apply. Coverage is available for you and your eligible dependents. Your bi-weekly premium costs are based on 5-year age bands and will increase when you reach a new age band. Higher premiums apply to smokers.
